Fred Loya insurance

Very unprofessional, when you are a customer they treat you fair, I found another insurance company who's rates were half of Fred Loyas, when I tried to get proof from Fred Loya that I had been covered by them for over a year, I was all but told they couldn't help me. They withdrew money from my account 10 days before the new policy was to start ( after I had canceled my policy with them)and am still waiting for a refund. Would not recomend this company to anyone. I never missed a payment, you would think I could get my money back sooner that a month.

Customer Service does not help their customers

We have been insured by Fred Loya for over two years. Yesterday we called them to change our bank draft information for the upcoming payment.

They emailed the form and required us to call them back. Today, they have not changed the bank information. We called them and they can't stop the draft scheduled for next Wednesday. We pleaded with them to stop the draft of that account because it will cost us a NSF charge of $35 on top of their payment amount and their fee for the NSF. They can't do it...takes ten days and a form.

WE faxed the form yesterday but it did not have both our signatures. She said fax it again but can't guarantee a thing. More than likely the money will be drafted from the wrong bank. We asked them to cancel the insurance, they can't do that either without us driving 100 miles to the nearest office to sign a form.

This is ridiculous...what happened to taking care of your customer? From the looks of somme of the these complaints, it is a good thing we were not involved in a wreck with one of their clients or ourselves. WE will be cancelling the insurance one way or another. The staff was not helpful at all....and on top of that, they talk over you...everytime we tried to explain our need, they would interrupt us and talk over us not allowing us to speak.

Rude very Rude...I highly recommend you change insurance agents or avoid Fred Loya all together. I will continue to spread the news against Loya from this point forward...I will get the word out....

I been with Fred Loya for 10 years and this week when I add a new vehicle on our family policy I noticed an increment of 280 dlls for my 2008 Denali sierra, I am 28 years old and 0 accidents since I started driving, it was a deception for me I look for a different quote and I find one with state farm I buy it. I went to Fred Loya insurance and they give me a number to get my money back which is by law I call this morning and they want me to pay 9.99 for information..the number is 1-80*-***-**** No Valen ***. Now I am thinking this was a *** fraud.

Guest

People need to take personal ownership for their mistakes. If you didn't give enough time for the draft change, it's your fault.

If you filled out a form incorrectly and had to refax it, it's your fault. What happened to personal responsibility?

Fred Loya Insurance

I tried to cancel my policy with Fred Loya Insurance. To my knowledge it was done. But the next month it was drafted from my account again, putting me in the negative. Now in order for them to credit my account, i have to *** work, go to the bank to get a statement, and fax it to their *** corporate office to prove to them that they are idiots. That means i am missing out on more money by having to leave work and cancel my appts. They owe me for two months worth of insurance and instead of just sending a check like i was initially "guaranteed", i have to do all of the footwork for their mistake and they are costing me more money. I will never go thru a smaller insurance company to try to save money again. I strongly urge everyone to go elswhere. Also, the supervisor i spoke to at corporate will not return my calls so i have to deal with someone at a local branch office. Do not get insurance from this company!!

Fred Lolya run-around

I have tried to cancel my policy with them several times. Each time I try to cancel they come up with a "new" paper work for me to fill out. It is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else. I would receive calls from the fred lolya and i would explain that i would no long like the insurance but never got a straight answer. never never never never never never never choose them as your company. go some where else like state farm, farmers, geico, or all state.

Once a check is mailed no insurance company follows up to tell you the check has been cashed. Whats wrong with you!

Once a check is put in the mail its out of their hands. I had a claim with them 11/14/09 and they came to inspect my vehicle on the 16th and gave me a check right there and then. When I was insured with Farmers 3 years ago and had a claim they did not do that.

I love Fred Loya, been with them for 3 years and would not switch even for a lower rate. Great customer service, I have referred all my family to them.

Guest

I was hit by a person under Fred Loya's insurance. Well I was suppose to receive my settlement check two months ago and three times the check has not made it to me in the past two months.

Well come to find out, they say, "I don't beleive them." That someone has cashed my check. Did they call me to tell me though, no. I had to contact their office to find out. I hate this insurance company.

They lack business savvy, very in professional. I would not recommend this insurance company to any one.

Fred loya insurance fires honest people!!!

Today I got fired from Fred loya because I told the truth about my manager taking money from the deposit. The ones who lied and acted like they didn't know n e thing are still working for the company and they told me that firing me was in the best interest of the company, ha if they only knew that those people lied to them TWICE!!! Anyone who is insured by Fred loya please DO NOT get into a car accident because they will find any excuse not to cover your claim!!! RUN!!! I think this is a very unfair company and they don't care about their customers nor employees!

I refused to get fired by this pathetic company and decided to resign. I honestly felt like their work environment was very unhealthy, amongst having to work with worthless management!

Very unsecure job with their ridiciolous goals that will eventually get everyone fired. And I sure as *** wasn't gonna get paid the same as a brand new employee after being there for several years.

Their insured dwi totaled my boat no check yet

on my way to the river when a drunk driver came in my lane narrowly avoided head on wreck I hit the ditch he hit my boat and flipped it. He had Fred Loya insurance, 2 weeks now I finally got an offer to settle, claims adjuster valued my loss @ $17167 on a 8 month old 2008 boat and 2009 motor and trailer. They want to settle for $8450 which would barely cover the cost of a new motor, much less the boat and trailer, they seldom return calls, Ive called 2-3 times a day and still not resolved, they should lose their license

Generally, an offer made on a total loss is for the market resale of the vehicle... Not on what you owe. That's what gap insurance is for.

Does Not Pay Auto Claims

On 7/22/09 I was hit by someone insured by Fred Loya Insurance.I was driving through a parking lot and a man backed out of a parking space and hit me so hard it did over $3, 000. worth of damage to my vehicle.

I had to go to the ER and my medical bills are $7500. so far. Loya Insur. Co. declared they would only pay 90% and I was forced to get a lawyer for the bodily injury. The adjuster with Loya Insur., Glenn P. Johnson only offered $2, 000.

Not only do I have to sue and go to court, my shoulder needs econstructive surgery that will put me out of work for up to six months. I can not have the surgery because I will not have the money to live on and the policy limits would not be enough to cover the cost.

After much research, THIS COMPANY DOES NOT PAY THEIR CLAIMS. Law offices

have more cases on Fred Loya Insurance Co. than any other auto

insurance company. DO NOT GET HIT BY A DRIVER INSURED BY THIS COMPANY.

Yeah, check the insurance of the other driver BEFORE you get in an ACCIDENT with that driver. Gee, why didn't the stte legislature think of that?

Just think, you could *** out all uninsured drivers with your plan. PURE GENIUS!!:roll Here's a thought,(You do know what a thought is, don't you?) why don't you try contacting the Dept. of Insurance in your state. They have a *** a lot more pull than some weasel shyster.

They(the dept. of insurance) can pull a companys' charter which enables said company to do business in the state. And, of course, you have documentation PROVING "Law offices have more cases on Fred Loya Insurance Co.

than any other auto insurance company." I bet you barely graduated from public school and think American Idol is important. LMAO :grin

Screwed us

On Dec. 16, 2009 a woman ran a stop sign and hit my vehicle and Fred Loya was her insurance carrier. The vehicle was not drivable and we were granted a rental. On Jan. 1, 2010 my mother-in-law died and her funeral was set for Jan. 5, 2010. Fred Loya insurance would not extend the rental of the vehicle so we could attend the funeral. Our vehicle is in the body shop and we have no way to get to work and will loose our jobs and become homeless place we will not be able to atten my mother-in-laws funeral and to top it off my hand was damaged and it is my only means of employment. I blame Fred Loya for not doing the right thing. We are honest people and have tried to handle this matter with honorablely but Fred Loya is not. Fred Loya does not seem to care is this the kind of insurance you want!

You should have gotten an attorney if you believed that you had "right" to additional coverage if FRED LOYA accepted liability.

I see no reason why they would have denied the extension of the rental vehicle unless YOUR vehicle had already FINISHED being REPAIRED and was available for you to pick up. ---- Otherwise, I really see no reason. I doesn't seem likely that they REACHED policy limits on what is allowed to pay OUT of that person's insurance policy.

As far as i know ---- there are only RENTAL limits when it's YOUR OWN policy that you are using for the coverage ---- NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S POLICY.

Hope everything turned out well for you.

Guest

sorry about your mother-in-law, but as awful as it might seem that they did not extend your rental period, it is a business....they have set limits on rentals that they cannot change, even if a representative approved an extension of the rental, they might end up getting fired for not folloinw the rules and regulations. Coverage cannot be extended because it's an inconvenience, no matter how awful the situation might be.

I have a claim with Fred Loya and for two weeks now, they have absolutely done nothing for me.

My vehicle was parked at my place of residence and a driver with Fred Loya Insurance drove through my parking lot and wrecked my Lexus es300 beyond repairs and after 2 weeks I still dont have a rental nor my car. I find the Fred Loya company very unprofessional in handling claims.

I am stuck with no vehicle to go to my doctors appointment and work and this insurance company ought to be seriously investigaated. It does not take two weeks or more to assume responsibility of what Fred Loya's client has done to my parked vehicle. The State department of Insurance should not license insurance companies like Fred Loya.

Best to get a lawyer ...

In Aug of 2009 I was rear ended by a client of Fred Loya Insurance. I contacted them following the accident, and they claimed the person was uninsured and not one of their clients.

I then tried to file a claim against the driver of another car that was in the accident as well. Three months into this, I find out that Fred Loya was responsible and that the original person was covered. They flat out lied to me and was hoping I would claim it under my own personal unisured motorist coverage. It has been three weeks since they confirmed that they received my complaint through the California State Insurnance department(you go through them if you are treated unfairly).

To date, since they have re-opened the case I have called them four times and they never answer the phone. If I do not hear from them by the end of the week, I am getting an attorney involved.

For anyone dealing with them, or thinking about using them as your carrier, think long and hard about that decision. Do you really want to choose a company who will lie, take no responsibility and never return your calls?

I was recently involved in an accident with a Fred Loya insured. This driver was driving under the influence which impaired her ability to determine safe clearance across an intersection of oncoming traffic.

The Fred Loya insurance adjuster determined that I am 30% at fault for the accident. So essentially I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have never heard of such *** in my life.

This is by far, one of the worst insurance companies. :( :(

Loya Ins were't cooperative on claim

My daughter filed an auto crash claim with Loya ins,They took the claim and closed it within 3 hours of reporting it to them. They claim that the car was insured, not the driver. So thats the reason they closed it, they also called my daughter and suggested she file a law suit on her own. When we called them they were very rude and refused to listen to reason. When we called for damage estimates, several shop owners refused to give estimates when they learned that they were going to deal with Fred Loya Ins. I have never dealt with anything like this before.

Sounds exactly like what I'm going through. Was hit by a Fred Loya customer, simple accident no big deal but need to get the repairs.

They come out and make the estimate at a little more than half of what the actual cost will be. I've had my car at the shop for 6 days now and after repeatedly being told by the adjuster that someone has been assigned to look at my car again for "supplemental" difference, no one will go look at it!

It could have been done by now...apparently Fred Loya has a very bad name for themselves for this type of behavior. I'm curious why is it allowed?

Guest

USELESS COMPANY! I was involved in a car accident with someone insured by Loya.

They took responsibility and said they would send a check. After 1 week no check. I called back and they said they would send another check. One week later no check.

I called a supervisor this time and he said another check would be sent.I will see.

When they did the claim they put $32 an hour as a shop rate. The going rate is $44 in central Texas. My body shop told me that $32 has not been used in over 20 years. More time wasted.

Loya says they will supplement.

I guess they want and hope claimants give up chasing what is due to them. This company is a JOKE!

Staff does not listen to you

I called Fred Loya Ins to ask the procedure if I were to move and change the address on my policy. They asked the address I was looking to move to. There was MY first mistake. I gave them the address. They said I would have to come into the office to sign paperwork to do a change of address. I never moved but a card was sent to the address I gave them (it is a friend's). I also noticed that my bank draft the next month was a little higher. So I contacted them like the card said, and told them that No, I had not moved, and I never came in and signed paperwork. They had raised my rate based on the "new" address, and now I need to go in and sign paperwork to change my address back to my "old" address. I said I was not going to , as I never signed it in the first place to change it, obviously hey have the ability to change it without my signature. I am currently shopping car insurance, and will never recomend this company. Just the opposite.

For those of you who complain about Pronto Insurance....They are a great company...by law they are obligated to pay covered losses....Insurance is Insurance at the end of the day....Its a contract between you and them...Pronto serves and offers a much needed product...All the big insurance companies like State Farm, All State, Farmers, Progressive, Nationwide etc....base your rate on several factors....like Credit Score...occupation...etc..If Pronto was really that bad, I guess they would be out of business...There is always two sides to the story....So dont base your perception of Pronto on several comments made by customers that you dont know, especially cause they are just "honest" people...how do you know if they aren't committing fraud or their contract states in black in white what they are covered for...

Marcie why do you put Pronto in "" what are you saying exactly...

Ex-employee I am wondering if you are disgruntled because you were fired for being lazy, not giving excellent service, and didnt contribute to the agency but collect a pay check...

Guest

Probably an honest mistake on their part. So would you have been as pissed if they'd lowered your rates instead?

Guest

You have alot to learn. Tina is right.

I have state farm and it works the same way. Premiums change when your location changes. If you move to a high risk area premiums go up. If you move to a low risk area it goes down.

They dont need your permission to change your premium. I'm sure it says in your contract. Dont like the new price? Increase your deductible or change ins companies all together.

Its your fault for providing a new address that you never moved to. duh!!

Guest

I'm not sure I would go with either Fred Loya or Pronto Insurance... I've heard nothing good of Fred Loya and I definitely don't want "Pronto" insurance!

I want insurance from a reputable company like Farmers, State Farm or Allstate...

anything else is inferior. I at least know these 3 companies I listed will pay claims.

Guest

Low Rates and not on the Pissed Consumer List! I recently transferred my insurance there I love it!

The staff is friendly and they are always having customer apprecition days (free giftcards with games, Thanksgiving they gave away an entire dinner for a needy customer and than the next week give away a xmas tree... I know I was there.

I was like WOW if only my bank was like this lol I know they have one on the NE side by thousand oaks. I got insurance in like 10 minutes and didnt need to give them all the information I gave loya.

Guest

Of course that is one of the many ways they work. They are trained to pick up on every little possibility you can provide them to deny you the insurance. If you were to get in an accident that will be grounds for denial of the whole thing..

Guest

The rate depends on your zip code that's how all insurances are

Fred Loya

This will probably do no good, but my God..... as the others posted....same story here..... money wasnt in the bank when they drafted early ... now im stuck with 5 F-I-V-E get it.....FIVE overdraft fees. As it is im living pay check to pay check..... they will not reverse the payment drafted so that the bank would dismiss them overdraft charges. That was the only way I could avoid that. But they said no. I gave them the authorization to draft payment from my account.... YES i did...and did so because i was looking at how i get paid (bi-weekly) and the date they gave me which was the 20th of every month worked great. Now I gotta pay $200.00 dollars in overdraft charges. That is over half my check. Nice very nice..........TIME to look for another car insurance thats all I can say. In case Fred Loya reads this as there form of 'improving' business........ If you want to keep customers, you have to learn to work with them. You are not the only car insurance place out there. Keep repeating this pattern and you'll keep losing customers. I most certainly didnt enjoy getting messed up like this.

Fred Loya claims adjuster dumb as a rock or fraud?

I was rearended by an insured of Fred Loya on 11-23-09. The claims adjuster Chris Alverez denied my claim and closed file without looking at the police report!

When I confronted her with the facts in the report, she stated they don't go by police reports. I've done her work,

I have given them everything they requested, and I'm still getting the run around!

Now I'm told to call back in a week. I'm calling the Dept of Ins.

My advice: if youre hit by a Fred Loya insured, get an attorney immediately!

is constantly in bars, drunk, beating his wife, and going to jail!! Check it for yourself...his mug shot was on the El Paso PD website. He burns $100 bills thinking his hot ***!! He embarasses his father, who built the company!

So you see, the company is a mirror reflection of the actions and decisions of the animals that run this "so called" company!! PAY YOUR CLAIMS!!

Guest

Stay away from Fred Loya!! How people continue to go to them for insurance is beyond me...

fireandice

I worked for them and after I found out that 99% of the claims are closed and not even looked at I thought it was just pathetic.

Guest

what was the reason they denied ur clm? they had to have sent a ltr.

maybe there was a covg issue like an excluded driver?

was it denied for coverage or liability? you're not stating all the facts.

Guest

Although the adjuster should have waited for the police report, that would have just been a courtesy. Insurance companies will ignore the police report, unless the loss was witnessed by the reporting officer.

Officers make mistakes all the time. And frankly, if the officer is contradicting what their own insured is saying, and there is no other evidence, they have to stand with their insured.

Good luck, though. The squeaky wheel often gets what it wants in this business.

Guest

To Fred Loya Employees,

Get out of there!!! You are working for an ungreatful employer, not to mention, a rip off artist. Have a great day!!!
